Bundle up tonight and the foreseeable future because cold temperatures are here to stay. With lows in the 20s or less north, (24F tonight in Central Mid-New Jersey) ski resorts up and down the east coast have their snow making equipment fired up. It is time to dust off the skis and snowboard get them sharpened and waxed and ready for the mountains.
If you have not purchased a season pass or thought about lift tickets yet the time is now to get the best discounts. Many resorts stop selling passes around Thanksgiving or a little there after so check out each resort to see what they offer and also look at the multi-resort season passes such as IKON Pass, EPIC Pass and Indy Pass as talked about in a previous article and video here. If you want to save a boat load of cash, multi-resort passes, season passes, multi day packs, early purchase lift tickets all save money.
Open on the East Cost this weekend:
Cataloochee Ski Area, North Carolina
**This list keeps growing as cold temperatures permit snow making.
