MOUNT SNOW, VERMONT–Brian Smuda a MidJersey.news correspondent was up before the sun and first to wait in line for the first chair for Mount Snow’s opening day. This is his 6th consecutive year scoring a seat on the first chair at the resort. Alterra Mountain Enters Agreement to Purchase Sugarbush Resort

Alterra Mountain Company announced in a press release today that it has entered into an agreement to purchase Sugarbush Resort in Vermont. That would bring the companies portfolio to 15 year-round mountain destinations in North America, including the worlds largest heli-skiing operation. Alterra Mountain Company states Sugarbush Resort access on the IKON Pass will remain the same for this year. The transaction is expected to close in early 2020.
