HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (MERCER)–A fire severely damaged a home in the 100 Block of Longwood Drive this afternoon. At approximately 1:25 pm the Hamilton Township Fire Department was dispatched for a working fire with “victims trapped” mutual aid was also sent from Robbinsville Township Fire Department. A few minutes later the Hamilton Township Police Department relayed to the fire departments that no victims trapped but they had a heavy fire in and towards the rear of the building.
Hamilton Township Fire arrived on scene laying large diameter supply hose into the scene and stretching an 1 3/4″ landline from the engine to the rear of the structure. The fire was quickly under control at 1:49 pm. No injures were reported in the fire and is currently under investigation.

GoFundMe: Many of you know my cousin Steven, today him and his family’s home was on fire and in the process EVERYTHING was destroyed and they also lost their family cat . Steven and both my aunt and uncle have no clothes, shoes, etc as stevens room took on the most damage and the rest of the house is ruined from water damage and soot . ANYTHING will help at this point so they have things to at least wear to get them through this hard time . It will truly be appreciated, thank you so much !
