Vehicle Strikes Hamilton Township ShopRite

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (MERCER)–A vehicle lost control and hit a bin of watermelons before finally coming to rest into a brick wall. The accident occurred in front of ShopRite on Route 33 around 7 pm tonight. A bystander reported it looked like a person had a medical episode prior to the accident in front of the store. RWJ-Hamilton EMS transported the person to the local hospital.

The right entrance to the front of the store was temporally closed for clean up of the watermelons and other damaged items. The township building department was en route to inspect minor damage to the structure.

The Hamilton Township Fire Department, Police, EMS as well as the Township’s Building Official all responded to the scene.
