EWING TOWNSHIP, NJ (MERCER)–On June 4, 2020 at 11:53 a.m. Ewing Police Dispatch received multiple 9-1-1 calls regarding a two-vehicle crash, with injuries, in the area of Lower Ferry and Ashley Roads. Responding officers encountered one of the vehicle’s occupants, a 23-year-old female, to be trapped inside her vehicle. Ewing Fire Station 33 responded and freed the victim who was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in critical condition, along with a five-year-old passenger from the vehicle. Both the five-year-old and the driver of the second vehicle were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The 23-year-old female driver, identified as Gabriella Nordgren of Ewing, later died of her injuries. Preliminary investigation indicates the vehicle being operated by Nordgren, crossed the center line striking the opposing vehicle head-on. The roadway has been reopened, however investigation into the crash is ongoing. No charges have been filed at this time.
