HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (MERCER)–According to NJ State Police spokesperson Sgt. Lawrence Peele a crash occurred at 6:39 PM, on I-195 westbound in the area of Exit 3 in Hamilton Township, Mercer County.

Preliminary information indicates that a green Mitsubishi Galant was traveling westbound when it ran off the roadway and overturned. The three occupants were all transported to Capital Health in Trenton.  One occupant was pronounced dead at Capital Health, one occupant was last listed in critical condition, and the third occupant was listed in stable condition.  Cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Update August 14, 2020: NJ State Police Sgt. Philip Curry reports that the following were involved in the accident:

The driver, Karla Sanchez, 22, of Trenton, NJ sustained serious injuries.

Passenger Yelitza Rivera, 16, of Trenton, NJ sustained fatal injuries.

Second passenger- 16-year-old female of Hamilton, NJ sustained moderate injuries.
