BREAKING: Woman Rescued From House Fire In Trenton

TRENTON, NJ (MERCER)–Around 12:07 pm the Trenton Fire Department, Trenton EMS, Capital Health Paramedics and Trenton Police were detailed to 729 Spruce Street for a fire with a person trapped.

According to a witness who stopped to help prior to fire department arrival told MidJersey.news that himself, a member of Hawks Towing and some neighbors went into the burning building and helped pull the woman towards the front door inside the burning home. The witness also said that within moments Trenton Fire Department arrived and helped remove the trapped woman the rest of the way and transferred care to Trenton EMS where she was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center.

Firefighters battled the flames and were able to bring the fire under control within 15 minutes.

Another resident was also taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center for an evaluation.

Investigators from the Arson Unit, Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office and the State Fire Marshal responded to the scene of the fire for the investigation.

One witness told MidJersey.news that were unconfirmed reports of someone cooking on a grill on the back porch and there was speculation fire may have started in the rear of the building.
