JACKSON, NJ (OCEAN)–Around 6:45 p.m. there was a reported incident at the Six Flags Great Adventure log flume and Jackson EMS was sent to the scene and several injures were reported, but only two required transport to a hospital for evaluation.
Kristin Fitzgerald Six Flags Great Adventure spokesperson told MidJersey.News in a statement: Our First Aid staff assisted several guests who were in a Log Flume boat that did not complete its cycle. The safety of our guests and employees is our highest priority. Two guests were transported to a local hospital for further evaluation. The ride will remain closed for a full inspection. One log boat was tipped up on its side at an angle, but not overturned.
The Log Flume at Six Flags Great Adventure was built in 1974 according to Great Adventure History website and has been in continuous service for 47 years. Even today the Log Flume is a favorite ride on a hot day.
