East Windsor Announces Summer Events At Etra Lake Park

July 15, 2021

EAST WINDSOR, NJ (MERCER)–Mayor Janice S. Mironov announced that East Windsor Township will be offering a summer program of free events at Etra Lake Park, kicking off with “Jersey Four” on Sunday, July 18 at 6:00 P.M.  “Jersey Four,” a Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons tribute band, will perform hit songs from the very beginning of The Four Seasons journey, through Frankie Valli’s solo career, to present day Four Seasons shows.  All time song favorites highlighting the show will include “Sherry”, “Big Girls Don’t Cry”, “Rag Doll”, “Walk Like a Man” and “Who Loves You”.

On Saturday, July 31 at 7 P.M. is “Family Night in the Park”, featuring a large-screen viewing of the movie “Trolls World Tour” under the stars.  “Trolls World Tour”, a 2020 American 3D computer-animated film, stars Queen Poppy and her friends as they embark on a daring mission try to unite the Trolls and save music from Queen Barb and King Thrash of the Hard Rock Trolls.  The evening will begin at 7 P.M. with games, DJ music and dancing prior to the movie starting at dusk.  The rain date for this event is Sunday, August 1.

On Sunday, August 8 at 6 P.M. “AM Gold”, a New York City based tribute band will be performing the adult-contemporary hit songs from the late 1970’s through the mid 1980’s. Artists include Hall & Oates, Steely Dan, Huey Lewis, Christopher Cross, and Lionel Richie.

On Sunday, August 22 at 6 P.M. “Wooden Ships Band,” a Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young tribute band, will reproduce their songbook to take their audience back in time to the era of the 1970’s during the Woodstock festival, but with a twist – the beautiful, intricate vocal harmonies are sung by three women! “Wooden Ships Band” is composed of seasoned, well-respected musicians who will deliver a show featuring classic music that has stood the test of time.

On Sunday, August 29 at 6 P.M. “Gathering Time,” a Long Island based folk rock/Americana/AAA trio, has toured both in the United States and internationally, mixing new interpretations of both ‘60s and ‘70s classic and old traditional tunes with their strong original songs.  Their sound reflects the voicings and arrangements of the genre’s pioneers, The Byrds, Peter, Paul & Mary, Joni Mitchell, and Crosby, Stills & Nash, brought into today with an acoustic-electric alchemy all their own.

Mayor Mironov stated, “East Windsor Township is excited to invite residents back together to beautiful Etra Lake Park to enjoy this free summer series of concerts and events.  Bring your blankets and chairs, enjoy the Park grills and amenities, and join with your neighbors for a great night out.”
