LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, NJ (MERCER)–Firefighters were dispatched to a smoke condition at the American Legion Post 414 at 100 Berwyn Place around 11:30. When firefighters arrived they reported a smoke condition and the source appeared to be coming from an area above the bar. Departments from Lawrence, Trenton, Ewing, Hamilton, and Princeton responded to the scene and others covered the area for additional calls. The fire was under control in about 40 minutes. The Lawrence Township Fire Marshal was requested to the scene. No further details are available at this time.
