Harvest Festival Held At Capital City Farm

October 9, 2021

TRENTON, NJ (MERCER)–The harvest season was celebrated today at Trenton’s Capital City Farm with the cream of the crop! Foods were prepared by chef Yvonne Mitchell made from Capitol City Farm’s own produce. There was live music and live painting with some of Trenton’s best artists, including Pup Donald Bolding, a songwriter, guitarist and producer whose talents have taken him from school and church ensembles in Trenton to touring and recording gigs with such hitmakers as Nelly, Case, Deborah Cox and Sarah Dash. The live painting demonstrations featured Raven George, whose work explores the concept of identity in infinite variations of divine beauty including natural elements of earth; Liz Amaral and her dreamy abstract works using acrylics and ink; and Walter Roberts, known for his pastel portraits featuring prominent Trentonians. Artist Sarah Kavage was on hand to discuss the straw bale sculpture/edible garden installation The Future is Open Ended and her work with the Lenapehoking~Watershed art project as a whole. There were even free pumpkins while supplies lasted.
