Reports of Shots Fired in Lakewood

LAKEWOOD, NJ (OCEAN)–Lakewood Police responded to a shooting sometime around 11:00 p.m. near Yeshiva Tiferes Torah, 873 Vine Avenue. Police were seen looking for casings and it was unclear if anyone was hit by the gunfire. One person was transported to the hospital by EMS after reporting being hit in head with bottle. Police are looking for 6 Hispanics that fled in an older model dark grey expedition with left taillight out. There were reports of multiple shots fired from the vehicle. No further information is available at this time.

Airman Forward Deployed from Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst Perform Maintenance at Al Dhafra Air Base

UNITED ARAB EMIRATES, AL DHAFRA AIR BASE–Airman forward deployed from Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst were seen performing maintenance on a KC-10 and other equipment with the 380th Air Expeditionary Wing at Al Dhafra Air Base in the United Arab Emirates yesterday and today.




Trenton Firefighters Remove Person Trapped in Vehicle on Route 29

TRENTON, NJ (MERCER)—At 12:10 p.m. the Trenton Fire Department was dispatched to Route 29 in front of Arm & Hammer Waterfront Park for an overturned vehicle with entrapment. Upon arrival firefighters found one person trapped and uninjured. Firefighters cut the windshield so the person could escape on their own power. TEMS and Capital Health Paramedics responded but it appeared that the person did not want transport to the hospital. Trenton Police were on scene investigating the crash. No further information is available at this time.

UPDATE: NJ State Police Investigating Death at Exit 7A in Robbinsville Township

December 4, 2021

ROBBINSVILLE, NJ (MERCER)–Trooper Charles Marchan with the New Jersey State Police told MidJersey.News that at approximately 10:28 p.m. Troopers observed a black sedan on the New Jersey Turnpike parked on the ramp of interchange 7A on the shoulder. Upon approach of the vehicle. Troopers observed a non-responsive male in the vehicle. The male was pronounced deceased at the scene.  This is an active investigation and there is no additional information available at the moment.

ROBBINSVILLE, NJ (MERCER)–At 10:33 p.m. Capital Health Paramedics were dispatched to the north bound ramp to the NJ Turnpike from Exit 7A for a pronouncement. Apparently, the New Jersey State Police found a deceased individual in a car parked on the side of the ramp. NJSP Detectives were seen photographing the scene and investigating. No information was available at the time of this report on the cause of death. This is a developing story once NJSP release information the story will be updated, and any corrections made.



Two Accidents Reported in Upper Freehold Township

UPPER FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, NJ (MONMOUTH)–It was a busy night for Hope Fire Company of Allentown with two different accidents. The first accident was on Sharon Station Road on the curve about 1/4 mile from Herbert Road at 12:20 a.m. A GMC traveling north bound ran off the opposite side of the roadway and landed on its side in a ditch. There were initial reports of entrapment and Hope Fire Company called backup from Robbinsville, but occupants were able to be talked out of the vehicle before arrival. Allentown EMS/Capital Health transported one occupant to RWJ at Hamilton Hospital with what appeared to be minor injuries. The driver was transported to the police station. Firefighters stood by until the vehicle could be removed from the towing company clearing the scene around 1:30 a.m.

In a separate accident at 12:52 a.m. a Dodge hit a deer on Holmes Mill Road near Walnford Road there were no reported injuries but the vehicle landed in a ditch and was unable to get out of the vehicle. Firefighters helped the occupant out of the vehicle and stood by for NJ State Police and the towing company.

New Jersey State Police is investigating both incidents.
