TOMS RIVER, NJ (OCEAN)–Toms River Police told MidJersey.News that on Friday, February 4. 2022, at approximately 12:20 a.m., police and fire units were dispatched to Fielder Ave in Ortley Beach for a reported vehicle fire.  Upon police arrival, the Seaside Heights Fire Chief was already on scene and there were two vehicle fully engulfed.  Multiple Fire Companies arrived and extinguished the blaze which had spread to the adjacent properties.  The Toms River Building Department rendered three homes inhabitable.  All residents were able to exit their homes safely and there were no reported injuries at the scene.  The fire remains under investigation by the Toms River Bureau of Fire Prevention and is not deemed suspicious.
