BREAKING: 2 Shot in Trenton; Male Pronounced Dead at Hospital

TRENTON, NJ (MERCER)–The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and the Trenton Police Department are investigating a Tuesday afternoon shooting in Trenton. According to the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office, just after 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, Trenton police responded to a Shot Spotter activation for multiple rounds fired in the 1100 block of N. Willow Street in Trenton.  Upon arrival, officers located two adult shooting victims, a male and a female.  The male victim was pronounced deceased a short time later.  The female shooting victim was transported to the hospital.

TRENTON (Mercer) – Law enforcement and emergency services personnel converged on the 900 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard about 3:30 p.m. today (Tuesday, March 1) after 911 calls were received that a shooting had occurred and a vehicle had crashed into a building. Upon arrival, Trenton police, Trenton Emergency Medical Service ambulance crew, Capital Health System paramedics and Trenton firefighters found that two people had been shot. Both victims were rushed by ambulance to the trauma center at Capital Health Regional Medical Center. CPR was reportedly being performed on at least one of the victims. Initial reports were that the vehicle was on fire, but firefighters found no fire. A city building inspector was requested to the scene to assess the damage to the structure.
