March 9, 2022 Update:
The deceased driver of the 2018 Chevrolet Equinox has been identified as Frances Sgro, 76 years of age female, from Columbus, NJ.
The investigation is still ongoing and no charges have been filed.

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (MERCER)–Hamilton Police say that on March 8, 2022 at approximately 1:50 p.m. a 2008 Chevrolet Malibu, driven by John MacMillan, 62-year-old male from Edgewater Park NJ, was traveling southbound on Rt 130 when he failed to stop for the traffic signal at Horizon Center Blvd. The Chevrolet driven by MacMillan struck 9 vehicles at the intersection before coming to a stop.
One of the vehicles struck was a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by a 76-year-old female from Columbus, NJ. The female driver was extricated from her vehicle by members of the Hamilton Township Fire Division. She suffered serious injuries and was transported to Capital Health Regional Hospital in Trenton, NJ where she succumbed to her injuries. Her name is being withheld pending notification to family.
Emergency Medical Service units from Allentown, Bordentown, Robbinsville, Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, and Capital Health Hospital responded to assist with multiple injuries.
With the assistance of the New Jersey State Police and the New Jersey Department of Transportation, Rt 130 southbound was closed to vehicular traffic. The roadway was reopened at approximately 4:40pm.
The crash is being investigated by Officer Frank LaVacca from the Hamilton Police Traffic Unit.
