TOMS RIVER, NJ (OCEAN)–Last night March 9, around 10:45 p.m., Police received a call for a fire alarm with a smoke condition, on the arrival of police the officers found a small fire next to the heater. They tried to use a can on it but it kept growing. When first due engine arrived, firefighters reported that they had a decent amount of fire in the rear of the building. The fire was quickly knocked down with hand lines. Firefighters remained on scene for overhaul and the investigation. No further information is available at this time.
