TRENTON, NJ (MERCER)–Trenton Police Detective Lieutenant Bethesda Stokes told MidJersey.News that on May 10, 2022, at approximately 10:02 p.m., the Trenton Police Department Communications Bureau received a call for three (3) shots heard in the area of 206 Academy Street. Patrol units were detailed to the area, where they located shell casings and blood droplets in the street in the area of 204-206 Academy Street. The scene was secured by Patrol.
One male shot, in the lower leg (shin) and it is non-life threatening. He was brought into the hospital by his girlfriend in a Black Dodge Durango.
The Communications Bureau received a call from the Sheriff’s Office advising a male had walked into Capital Health Regional Medical Center suffering from a gunshot wound to the left shin (through and through).
Witnesses on scene stated there was a street fight amongst females prior to the shooting.
Investigation ongoing.
