Developing: Crash in Ewing Township Involving Vehicle With MG Plates

EWING TOWNSHIP, NJ (MERCER)–Sometime around 9:30 p.m. a crash occurred in the 1500-1600 Block of N. Olden Avenue (CR-622) in Ewing Township involving a municipal government vehicle and a car. It was unclear if there were any injuries, and the airbags were deployed on the vehicle with MG plates. The car suffered rear end damage and came to rest in the driveway of Pizza City. Ewing Police diverted traffic onto Arctic Parkway until the crash was cleared from the roadway. This is a developing story and when information becomes available the story will be updated. Firefighters Extinguish Construction Dumpster Next To House In East Windsor

EAST WINDSOR, NJ (MERCER)–Around 1:34 p.m. East Windsor and Hightstown Fire Departments were dispatched to a dumpster fire in the first block of Compton Drive. First arriving firefighters found a well involved construction dumpster next to a house with exposure issues and called for a full first alarm sending additional apparatus from Robbinsville and other departments to the scene. Firefighters quickly knocked down the flames but remained on scene to overhaul the fire. East Windsor Police, East Windsor Rescue Squad as well as Fire Police were also on scene. No further details are available at this time.



Car Overturns On Route 1, Crashes Into Gas Station In West Windsor

WEST WINDSOR, NJ (MERCER)–West Windsor Police, Emergency Service and West Windsor firefighters responded to U.S. Route 1 North Bound near Washington Road (CR-571) for an overturned vehicle into a gas station at 9:40 a.m. There were initial reports of entrapment and vehicle fire but upon arrival the occupants of vehicle were out of vehicle and was not on fire. The crash took out a gasoline pump and firefighters used an absorbent to help control the spilled gasoline. The vehicle was up righted and towed away. West Windsor Police Department is investigating the crash.



Robbinsville Firefighters Respond To NJ Turnpike Accident

ROBBINSVILLE, NJ (MERCER)–At 9:13 a.m. the Robbinsville Township Fire Department, EMS and NJ State Police responded to the NJ Turnpike for an accident reported on the NJ Turnpike. Firefighters found a vehicle that hit the NJ Barrier in the area of Mile Post 64 North Bound of the inner roadway. The driver was suffering from non-life-threating injuries and was transported by Robbinsville EMS to a local hospital. Paramedics were called to meet the ambulance en route to the hospital. NJ State Police is investigating the crash.
