Multi-Alarm Fire In The City Of Trenton

TRENTON, NJ (MERCER)–Around 12:25 a.m. the Trenton Fire Department was sent to N. Clinton Avenue and Monmouth Street for a 9-1-1 caller reporting smoke and flames seen from the roof of a building. The first engine arrived and reported smoke showing and started pulling handlines. An “all hands” fire was called sending additional equipment to the scene. There were reports of victims trapped on the 2nd and 3rd floors. A second alarm was called as 12:37 a.m. the chief officer. It was reported that two victims were rescued and transported by Trenton EMS and Capital Health Paramedics to Capital Health Regional Medical Center. Additional units were called from surrounding towns to cover the City of Trenton. Additional equipment was called to the scene of the fire. The fire is still active at the time of this report. 3:11 a.m. Command reports one firefighter transported to the hospital with a minor injury.
