BREAKING: Police Investigate Reported Shooting/Stabbing At Trent Center On Greenwood Avenue

Two victims were transported by Trenton EMS and Captial Health Paramedics to Captial Health Regional Medical Center, both were “Trauma Alerts”

TRENTON, NJ (MERCER)–Around 11:17 a.m. Trenton EMS was on scene of an EMS call at Trent Center located at 511 Greenwood Avenue when a frantic call by Trenton Emergency Medical Services (TEMS) asking for police was heard over the EMS radio. The emergent call was asking for police for “shots fired and shooting victim and stabbing victim”

TEMS requested another advance life support unit for a “stabbing” Trenton Police responded to the scene as well as Trenton Fire Department.

One person reportedly shot was transported immediately to Captial Health Regional Medical Center with a “trauma alert” and it was unclear but there was another victim, possibly a stabbing on the 14th floor of the Trent Center. A second victim was also transported to Captial Health Regional Medical Center and a “trauma alert” was called for that victim.

Trenton Police was on scene investigating with the Shooting Response Team at the time of this report.

It was unclear if the 2nd victim was a stabbing or shooting as originally reported over EMS radio. MidJersey.news has reached out to MCPO and Trenton Officials for clarification and comment.
