Trench Rescue In Hamilton Township

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (MERCER)–Around 1:50 p.m. Hamilton Township Fire Department and RWJ EMS were detailed to the 100 Block of North Hamilton Avenue near Norcross Circle for “domestic entrapment” Upon arrival it was determined that a trench collapsed, and a person was stuck in soil. A Hamilton Township Public Works vacuum truck was called to help with the rescue. Trenton Fire Department Taskforce was requested for additional aid to the scene. The person was removed about an hour later around 3:00 p.m. The person was transported to a nearby hospital by RWJ EMS and Captial Health Paramedics. Hamilton Township Police were on scene for crowd and traffic control. No further details are available.

New Bus Stop At Hamilton Continuing Care

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (MERCER)–Assemblyman Dan Benson (Hamilton) joined elected officials and representatives from Hamilton Continuing Care Center (HCCC) and New Jersey Transit (NJT) for a ribbon cutting ceremony for a new NJ Transit bus stop for frontline workers at HCCC. The new NJ Transit bus stop which will assist employees and visitors, who rely on NJ Transit for transportation, commute to and from HCCC

“The frontline heroes at HCCC played an outsized role in getting us through the pandemic and I’m pleased that we could turn this vision into a reality to make their lives a little bit easier,” said Assemblyman Dan Benson. “This new bus stop will also benefit residents whose family members rely on New Jersey Transit to visit them making it a win-win for employees and residents alike.”
