Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Route 130 Crash

HAMILTON, NJ (MERCER)–Hamilton Police report that on October 8, 2023, at approximately 9:45 a.m., a 2013 Lexus SUV, driven by a 55-year-old female from Columbus NJ and a 2018 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle, driven by a 23-year-old male from Ewing NJ, collided while traveling northbound on Rt 130 near Marketplace Blvd Extension.  After the collision, the driver of the motorcycle was ejected off the motorcycle and continued across the southbound lanes of Rt 130 before coming to a stop.  The motorcyclist suffered serious bodily injuries and was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center at Fuld for treatment.  The driver of the Lexus was uninjured.

          With the assistance of NJ State DOT, southbound Rt 130 was closed to all vehicular traffic.  The roadway was reopened to all traffic at approximately 12:45 p.m.

          The names of all involved parties have been withheld pending notification to family members.

The crash is being investigated by Officers Hendricksen and Mandelko of the Hamilton Police Division Traffic Unit.
